Eat the Indian Way

Its been almost three weeks in US now - and my cooking skills are being put to test in the hotel kitchenette. I have also been reading up different books and articles on Indian cooking practices and the food value it has to offer.

Here is an article which describes the benefits of Indian cooking.

If you are interested in knowing more about the different fruits, vegetables, cereals and pulses, that form part of your daily diet, read the book "Foods That Heal" by H.K.Bakhru. The book describes in detail the origin of each food, its food value, the nutritional properties associated with it and how it can be used to treat common ailments. Some sections will remind you of home remedies often suggested by grandmothers.
